Anti-Wrinkle Injections Botox®, Relfydess®, Dysport® & Xeomin®
Expression lines are proof you've lived a life full of laughing, frowning, squinting into the sun and everything in between. Anti-wrinkle injections work on the limiting the movement of muscles which in turn softens the lines that linger after the expression's gone.
With four clinically proven options on hand, Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin® and Relfydess®, your treatment plan is built around your face and your goals. Behind every treatment is Dominique Lieder, a Registered Nurse who's worked alongside some of New Zealand's leading surgeons and specialists in appearance medicine.
The different types of toxins
Botox®
The original and most recognised anti-wrinkle brand worldwide, used safely in cosmetic medicine for decades. A well-studied option for forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet, particularly where a precise, controlled result matters.
Dysport®
A clinically proven botulinum toxin treatment with a slightly different spread to Botox®, which can suit larger treatment areas well.
Xeomin®
A purified botulinum toxin type A, free from the complexing proteins found in some other formulations. Xeomin® treats the same key areas, frown lines, crow's feet and forehead lines.
Relfydess®
The newest anti-wrinkle option available in New Zealand. Relfydess® is a next generation botulinum toxin with a unique strain and no added proteins, developed for a faster onset (some clients notice results within a few days) and reported longer lasting effects.
How Anti-Wrinkle Injections Work
Anti-wrinkle injections contain a purified form of botulinum toxin type A. Injected into specific facial muscles, it temporarily reduces the movements that cause lines and wrinkles. As the muscles relax, the skin above them smooth out, resulting in a softer complexion with reduced lines and wrinkles.
Results are typically visible from 2 days to two weeks and can last from 3-6 months depending on the product used.
What to expect from your anti-wrinkle appointment
Consultation The first step is to book a consultation to assess whether anti-wrinkle injections are right for you. In this 30-minute free consultation, Dominique will talk through your options and recommendations for what you are hoping to achieve.
First appointment/Consultation Your consultation can also be combined with your first treatment and this takes around 45 minutes. This is the most popular starting point for new clients.
Follow-up appointment Dominique will check in two weeks after your treatment to assess results and make any small adjustments. Allow 30 minutes.
Maintenance appointments To keep results consistent, book a maintenance appointment every three to six months, depending on which product you're using and how long your results last. Regular treatment typically means less product is needed to maintain your result.
